BOOK REVIEW: Masters of War: Classic Strategies

Abstract

Micheal I. Handel served as a strategy professor at the US Naval War Academy for ten years. As can be understood from its name, the main theme of the book is the classic thinkers of war strategy. In the book, Handel conducts a detailed examination on Sun Tzu and Clausewitz, the leading classic war theorists, and also includes the views in the war-themed works of Jomini, Mao Tse-Tsung, and Machiavelli.
