Abstract

Especially after the end of the Cold War, the phenomenon of the European Union (EU) or European states defining their identity/identities through states they consider the other of Europe has become more frequently pronounced. With many historical and current examples, this debate is deepened and systematically approached by Sinem Aydın-Düzgit in her book titled Constructions of European Identity: Debates and Discourses on Turkey and the EU, bringing a new methodological breath to this field.
